Building Bridges: Breaking Barriers
A Campaign For All

Values

Build Trust

As I connect with residents door-to-door, I often hear a shared concern about the loss of trust that many feel due to being overlooked in recent years. Issues like rising home appraisals, property taxes, fiscal responsibility, homelessness, safety, aging in place, healthcare access, and decisions about solar and wind projects have added to these worries. It’s important for the county government to restore that trust by promoting transparent decision-making, hosting open listening sessions, and communicating clearly and honestly about all matters—even those that are complex and require long-term plans to improve our infrastructure and ensure community safety, as well as support sustainable growth.

If given the chance to serve, I am committed to rebuilding trust in District 5 and throughout the county. Strengthening connections with Commissioners and county officials will be crucial for promoting integrity and ethical practices—key elements in restoring trust, maintaining our county’s positive reputation, and ensuring sustainable progress. Additionally, I will implement open listening sessions within the district to create opportunities for two-way communication, allowing residents to share their concerns and ensuring that their commissioner responds effectively.

Ensure Compliance

Upholding integrity demands strict compliance with relevant laws and regulations across various areas, including daily operational procedures, grant requirements, traffic laws, societal expectations, and the broader legal frameworks governing government functions.

As County Commissioners, it is essential to exhibit a steadfast commitment to ethical behavior while actively managing potential legal and reputational risks. If entrusted with this role, I will collaborate closely with our county administrators to evaluate our current situation and leverage my regulatory expertise to identify areas for improvement.

Addressing key issues such as aging in place, fiscal responsibility, health-related social needs, prudent spending, strengthening family support, and workforce development is vital to ensuring our community’s continued prosperity. If elected, I pledge to reinforce our commitment to accountability, listening, and learning from those we are honored to represent.

Enhance Community Voice

The Commission must carefully evaluate the impact of its decisions on the entire community, the county, society at large, the economic landscape, historical trends, and the environment. Inclusivity means more than just prioritizing the voices of densely populated areas or specific demographic groups. By actively engaging with, listening to, and learning from diverse perspectives throughout the county, we can better inform our social responsibility initiatives and ethical practices, ultimately contributing to the overall improvement of our society.

If elected as your county representative, I commit to fostering community engagement through active dialogue and hosting conversations that prioritize listening, learning, and transparency. These efforts will be essential to rebuilding trust in our county commission representation across our community.

Strengthen Families & Workforce

Families are the foundation of our communities, while a strong workforce underpins our economy. We must weave these two elements together, enhancing their connection and capabilities. Promoting healthy families and a thriving workforce is essential for the well-being and prosperity of our community.

As a County Commissioner, I am dedicated to initiatives that support family stability, such as improving access to affordable childcare, good-paying jobs, safety to include safe routes to schools, community gardens and green spaces, quality education, aging in place, healthcare and transportation services.

I will also advocate for workforce development programs that equip our youth, adults, seniors, and individuals with disabilities with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in our rapidly changing economy. By prioritizing these efforts, we can strengthen the resilience and vitality of our community, creating a brighter future for ALL.
